Clinical Service Contracts

The FIU Behavioral Health Hub is a collaboration between the FIU Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health and the Florida Department of Health to increase access to behavioral health services in pediatric primary care settings through:

• Skill-based training for pediatricians to build early identification, appropriate diagnosis, treatment, and referrals to psychosocial supports.
  • a. Individualized training to increase capacity, skill, and comfort in treating common behavioral health disorders.
  • b. Implementation of routine screening for common behavioral health disorders and social determinants of health.
• Telepsychiatry consultation services to increase access.
• Effective linkage to behavioral health organizations and support to enhance efficiency and quality.

Our FIU Behavioral Health Hub partners with primary care practices and behavioral health organizations across Miami-Dade, Monroe, and Broward Counties.
